September 23, 2011
The Petersburg Library Foundation (PLF) recently received a $500 contribution from Restoration of Petersburg Community Development Corporation (CDC) to support the fundraising efforts for the new Petersburg Public Library.
Board Chair, Regina Payne said, "this new Library means so much to this community and for the residents of the city. This new facility will provide the tools for education, resources to improve literacy and connections to other community organizations."
The mission of the CDC is to rehabilitate and provide economic growth and sustainability in the Harding Street and Halifax Street areas. The new state-of-the-art library will be located on the corner of Washington and Market streets.
